BURNS — The way Burns boys basketball coach Sean Patterson sees it, a team can’t play inferior opponents and expect to get better.
That mentality is not an option for his squad.
“We don’t play an easy schedule and that’s awesome. We love that and we wouldn’t change that for the world,” Patterson said.
That’s a fairly upbeat attitude from a coach whose team took a 56-36 drubbing at the hands of the Class 3A Wheatland on Tuesday. The Broncs were down 21-16 at the half but fell behind by 20-plus thanks to a 25-3 run to start the third period.
This week’s scores and next week’s schedule are available after the jump.
